Who are we?
This register came about as a result of H M Land registry ceasing to register ‘Lord of the Manor and Barony titles’.
As a result of this a couple of professional genealogists and a medieval historian decided to research the possibilities of duplicating
H M Land registry practice.
This took two years to complete and there now exists a formal organisation; called The National Register of Manorial Titles. We have very recently decided to venture into the world of blogs because it is seen as the best way to build a customer relations platform and advisory service. There has been adverse press surrounding the sale of titles and particularly the distasteful practices attendant to it. We seek to lift the lid and offer honest and open discussion, as well as advise all who seek clarification.
Another new departure for us has been to accept commisions from clients seeking to sell their titles, our proviso has been that any title we represent has been formally validated and registered by us and carries with it a formal document stating such and citing a registered title number. (registration certificate).
Please feel free to comment or seek our advice; this is what this blog is for.
